Character Name: Amy Dyer
Series: In the Flesh
Age: Biologically 20/21, chronologically 25/26
From When?: [At what point in their timeline were they brought aboard the Barge? Inmates must have just died or were about to die.]

Inmate/Warden:
Warden. Amy has what could be considered an almost unnatural amount of optimism. She has a knack for recognizing the good in people even when it's not the most obvious even to the people in question. Amy is big into self-acceptance and being who you are. That doesn't mean she would look at an inmate and tell them don't change a thing, however. She may be exceedingly nice and see the good in people, but she's also someone who isn't afraid to challenge another person when it comes to bad behavior. Essentially, Amy is going to be the biggest fan of her inmate, but she also expects an inmate to pull their gosh darn weight and take responsibility for themselves.

Item: [(WARDENS ONLY) -- What Gives you Your Information While Here? Examples -- a compass, a book, a palm pilot, a tarot card, etc.]

Abilities/Powers:
Amy is a Partially Deceased Syndrome (PDS) sufferer aka zombie (although that's a bad word and you shouldn't use it). To prevent herself from going into a rabid state, Amy requires daily injections of Neurotriptyline which is delivered directly into her spine through a tiny hole at the base of her neck. PDS sufferers are unable to eat or drink anything except for brains (human or animal) and have very limited sensations as their brains regenerate due to the drug. Amy has been shown to start experiencing a few returned sensations and other bodily functions that imply she will eventually come back to life. However, unlike the show in which this happens ridiculously fast, Amy's symptoms would be far more gradual. Like we are talking months and months.

Personality:
In some ways, the best way to understand Amy Dyer is through the lens of her life as a human. When Amy was diagnosed with leukemia, her life was cut short. While never explicitly stated how long her fight with cancer lasted, it was clearly enough to disrupt whatever life plans she might have had for herself. More to the point, Amy always felt it was unfair because she didn't get a chance to experience much of anything. Needless to say, Amy sees her undead life as her second chance. Unlike Kieren, Amy fully embraces being one of the undead as she quickly abandons wearing cover-up to go bare-faced, much to the discomfort and irritation of the citizens of the very conservative Roarton.

Amy is the sort of person that is immediately comparable to a ray of sunshine. She generally holds high hopes for herself and those around her. She is also often playful, falling into easy back-and-forth banter with friends. Amy is also the sort of person who cares a lot about another person's happiness as well, generally wanting the best for other people. But while in most ways, this is a very genuine appearance, it is still an appearance in other ways meant for the benefit of others.
[Please write at least 5 solid paragraphs. The more depth and detail, the better! Keep in mind that other players will use this section to determine if your character is a good match for potential Warden/Inmate pairings, and this may be their first exposure to your character.

Barge Reactions: You need to include how they are going to react to the Barge, possibly addressing the other character types, genres, and fandoms they'll be encountering or how they may react to floods or breaches. If the character has stayed on the Barge before, will they remember that and what effect did it have on them?

Please write this in complete sentences, and in paragraphs as you would in any normal area of the application.]

Path to Redemption: [(INMATES ONLY) Please outline possible ways a Warden can get through to them, possible triggers, methods, motives for them to change. This section can serve to give Warden players some idea of which route to take in working with your Inmate. While we don't expect every Inmate to become redeemed, they have to AT LEAST have potential for it. Irredeemable Inmates are not acceptable.]

Deal: [(WARDENS ONLY) -- What is your character expecting to get for their effort graduating an inmate? What is their motivation?]

History: Amy was raised by her grandmother. During the Rising and in her untreated state, Amy paired up with Kieren and they hunted the living together. After treatment, she moved back to Roarton, but it was not until she was visiting her grandmother's grave that her paths crossed with Kieren again. Of course, Kieren flips his shit a little bit and ends up stabbing her with a metal spike. It didn't put a damper on the friendship though as she drags him off on a daytrip.

Amy shows up again later that night when Kieren fake eating dinner without her make-up after she "freaked a few grannies out" by knocking door-to-door until she found Kieren's place. She sits down at the dinner table and generally does not endear herself to Kieren's family as he hurriedly rushes her into his room. They have a fairly heavy conversation about how they died - Amy from leukemia and Kieren from suicide. Jem (Kieren's sister) tells Kieren that Rick (Kieren's ex-boyfriend) is back, so Amy goes with him to the Legion. Amy's bare face causes a bit of a stir and Philip ushers them to a PDS sufferer section. When Rick has them moved out and back into the main area of the pub, Amy challenges him as he pretends not to be undead. She ends up sleeping with Philip who asks that she tells no one about it.

Later when Gary turns up at Amy's bungalow to mark her house, he lets himself inside. He grabs Amy by the hair and smears cover-up on her face, telling her that to stay in Roarton, she's going to have to cover herself up. Amy makes the decision to leave and seek out the Undead Prophet. She asks Kieren to come with her, but understands why he won't as he still has a life in Roarton with family and a complicated relationship with Rick. So, she says goodbye to him, promising to return in time for their wedding, and the two part ways.

Amy eventually leaves the commune and returns to Roarton, finding Kieren at Rick's grave although she does not return alone. On their way to Amy's bungalow, she informs him that she is engaged. She makes him promise that he'll come to their final resting place the next morning to meet her betrothed. Amy introduces the two and together Amy and Simon try to convince Kieren to a) stay in Roarton and b) be more accepting and open about who he is now as one of the undead.

Of course, Amy is dealing with problems of her own as she deals with returning urges to eat/drink, seizures, tremors, and nosebleeds.

Sample Journal Entry: [5-10 sentences (of spoken/written monologue, not including narration) 1st Person POV. This sample should reflect the character's day-to-day behavior and a distinctive voice. Must be Barge setting specific.]
Sample RP: [3-5 paragraphs, 3rd Person POV. Must be Barge setting specific.]
